What is Community

A community is a group of people that could be in a sports team, church team, and more. People could be in a community but they could be a different ethnicity or speak in a different language. A community can be people in the same space doing the same thing. You could also be in a community by helping people. A community can have dislikes and things they like. Friends could be a community and also family. A community could be cultures like Ethiopian, Samoan, Togan, etc,

The Life of Jesus

A Rich Man - 10:17:31

Jesus was walking down the road and a man came up to him and knelt down and asked: “Good Teacher what can I do to have eternal life”?. Jesus replied “Why do you call me good”?”Only God is good”.”You know the commandments. Do not murder. Be faithful in marriage. Do not steal. Do not tell lies about others.Do not cheat. Respect your mother and father. He obeyed these commandments since he was young”. Jesus looked closely at the man. He liked him and said “There’s only one thing to do. Go sell everything you own. Give money to the poor and you will have riches in heaven. Then come with me”. When the man heard Jesus he was very glomming and sad because he was very rich. Jesus looked around and said to his disciples,” It's hard for people to get into God's Kingdom! In fact, it’s easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than for a rich person to go into God's kingdom”. Jesus’ disciples were even more amazed. They asked each other” How can anyone ever be saved”? Jesus looked at them and said “ There are some things that people cannot do, but God can do anything. Peter replied, “ Remember we left everything to be your followers”! Jesus told him: You can be sure that anyone who gives up home brothers sisters or mother and father or children or lands for me and for the good news will be rewarded. In this world, they will be given 100 times house brothers, sisters, and many more.

I chose this photo because this reminds me of when Jesus died and he was holding the cross all the way up to the hill and he rose on the third day. I chose this photo because he died for us because he loved us. Everyone loved him. When people saw him in the sky on Easter day their faces lit up with joy. He was our King!

Bunnings Trip

Bunnings Trip

When we arrived at Bunnings warehouse I was full of Joy. I couldn’t believe we were making a birdhouse to put into our community garden. When we walked in we were told that the workshop was in the back. Everybody was literally so excited they couldn’t keep their feet on the ground. Eventually, we go to the workshop and our Instructor was Sally. She was really nice and also funny. Afterward, we sat down and had to wait because we weren’t the first to arrive we were the last.

Minutes after we sat down and we were just talking and people were already finished and already starting to paint. Sally called some people to build the birdhouse and I was called and she gave us al the pieces and we had to build it. I didn’t know how to build a birdhouse so Virginia helped me. In the meantime, I was waiting for Virginia to get the Instructions and when she finally came she gave me the Instructions. This was kind of like a challenge or a task to me. The things we need for a birdhouse are Nails - Hammer - Supervision and the wood pieces. These are the things you need to make a birdhouse. If you want you could paint your birdhouse but some people only paint it a little bit. I was having so much fun building the birdhouse because it was fun hammering the nails and it was kind of like a stress relief. As time passed I was done building my birdhouse and I could paint my birdhouse. There was no space in the painting area so I could paint in the building area. My theme was a night sky with white stars and grass coming from the bottom but every side was a different color of grass. I started painting and Sally kept on pouring paint at everyone’s table because everyone kept on using the paint. It took forever for me to finish painting my black coat. When I asked Sally for some more black and white paint she poured it and everyone started coming like a pack of dogs fighting for there food. When I was finally finished my stars I started doing the grass within minutes I was done my birdhouse and then we waited for other people to finish. Eventually, all of us were finished.

Afterward, we took some photos and we left. It was a really fun painting and building. I wish I could go every day.

Covid- 19 Report

Coronavirus Report

Coronavirus is a deadly virus that came from China. They ate a lot of raw foods like bats and that’s how the Coronavirus started. The virus is named coronavirus because the disease looks like crowns. Its original name is Covid- 19. As you know the Coronavirus was spotted in china but in a city called Wuhan. This virus has never been seen in humans but the number of people is really small. The Government is taking this virus really seriously because he is in charge of what happens to these people.

Coronavirus affects people’s breathing because if you get coronavirus you will have difficulty breathing. The lungs also get affected. Like normal bugs, this virus can spread to a person by coughing and sneezing.

Coronavirus like other viruses has symptoms, the symptoms are:

• Difficulty Breathing
• Fever
• Coughing

However, this virus can stop your immune system from working and it’s very dangerous to the young, the old, and the people who are weak.

The WHO ( World Health Organization) emergency committee has declared a world emergency that is the highest alarm- level. The WHO has made an announcement for this virus spreading. WHO can support these countries by being affected by the Coronavirus and there also helping them by getting prepared.

True Religion

This is my Poster 

Powhiri Writting

On Friday week 2 our school had a Powhiri. A Powhiri is welcoming like for
new students, Teachers, Principals, and more. Immediately after morning tea, the
whole school went down into the hall and we sat in perfectly straight lines. 

When we got settled for a couple of minutes the Powhiri started. 
Everyone stood up and sang He Honore. As time passed we all sat down and
Father Peter said something in Tero Maori and also said it in English, but all
I knew is that he said a welcoming to everyone. 

Immediately after we sang a song called E Toru Nga mea. A few minutes later,
we sang E Toru Nga Mea.  A young student from St Mary’s Ellerslie
spoke in Te Reo Maori to Mr. Hadnett. After he was done we all sang Mo
maria. Then some people said some speeches and some of them were Maori.
Eventually, Mr. Hadenet said a speech. Eventually, he finished his speech
and the teachers said some speeches like the new teachers and some old
teachers too. After the speeches, all the girls from Room 2 had to sing and
dance to E Minaka Ana. When the Powhiri was finished all the visitors stayed
and had a nice morning tea.  The rest of the school had an hour lunch.
What a day!
