Heart Map Writing: Deborah's Time at Auckland Zoo

My Time at Auckland Zoo
I was so happy when I went to Auckland Zoo. My Parents took me and my sister to Auckland Zoo,it was amazing we put on some music that entertained us for so long. Along the way my sister made some funny jokes that almost made me pee my pants. When we finally arrived we told everyone what we wanted to see in the zoo. I wanted to see all of the tigers and lions, Galila wanted to see the elephants and my parents wanted to see the cheetahs.

When I walked in, it was like I was in heaven, everyone was so nice and they even offered to take a picture of us. They even gave us a map so we knew where to go. So first we went to the Red pandas. Unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to see the Red Pandas. I was so sad but I still wanted to see all the other animals, so we kept going. We ended up in the Africa exhibition. The next animal we wanted to see were the elephant's. My sister was so excited that she ran. I called out and said “You don’t know where it is Galila, I have the map”. She finally stopped and made a sad face but she didn’t trick anyone. After Galila finally stopped we went to the elephants. We were so lucky to get there in good time as the zoo keepers but on a show for us. The elephants were just putting sand on themselves. The back elephant was drinking water. We were looking at the elephants for about 5-10 minutes.

As soon as we were done looking at the elephants we were going to the Monkeys. The Monkeys were right by the elephants and the Flamingos. The Monkeys were going everywhere. Did you know that there the Flamingos are pink because their digestive system is mostly made of of raw Shrimp! Anyways there was an instructor who was feeding the flamingos. I really wanted to see the lions and tigers so we went there. We saw two lions and they were at the very top and there were also two lion cubs . Sadly there were no tigers. Next we went to the Meerkats. The Meerkats were very fast and small. They were running around. One funniest things was that when Galila was in the tunnel she thought that the MeerKats were chasing her.

The Australia display was so Interesting, we saw emus, kangaroos and Tasmanian devil. The Emus were very big and some people were even scared of the Emus because they were so big. The kangaroos were jumping all over the place. One person was dumb enough to go inside where the kangaroos were. Eventually he got out of the enclosure. He looked like he was scared of kangaroos for life. Galila was laughing so hard about that she almost peed her pants.

The New Zealand exhibition was very cool because we had to walk over a bridge in order to see a lake. After that we went to the stairs and walked up to see the birds. There was only one bird and it a pukeko. The pukeko was just eating rotten furit.

I had a great time at the Zoo. I would love to see the tigers next time I go. Other than that I had a great time. The exhibitions we went to were Africa , Australia, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. We didn’t see South America. Hopefully I get to go to the zoo with my family again.

Mintie Challenge

Who's Mintie Wrapper was the Longest
Cleo’s Mintie Wrapper was the longest out of all of us. I think Cleo took here time with the Mintie wrapper and has been
doing this before, and maybe she didn’t have those little tears on the Wrapper and here measurement was 90cm.

Who’s Mintie Wrapper was the Shortest
Kale’s Mintie Wrapper was the shortest  because he may of not took his time with the Mintie Wrapper or he may be new to
this task. His Mintie Wrapper was 7cm

Who’s Mintie Wrapper was the Same
Miss Virginia and Sione had the same measurement for their mintie wrapper and the measurement was 65cm.They might
of had one of those Mintie wrappers with little tear in the Wrapper

CatWoman Enlargement

How to make Catwoman Enlargement Art.

Today, we are going to teach you how to make a SuperHero Enlargement Art.

  •           Things you need to make Enlargement
  •  Catwoman
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Thin Paint Brushes
  • Paints
  • Vivid or Sharpie (for outline)
  • Paper A3
  • Rubber (Incase)
  • Newspaper
  • Paper
  • Scaled Drawing of SuperHero

Once you’re sure you have all of the items, it's time to start drawing the grid lines.

  1. Rule on a scaled drawing of Cat Woman.

  1. Rule vertically using a ruler, ensure the ruler starts on the 0 mark.

  1. Skip count in 4cm using the ruler (Do this at least six to eight times). Make sure to mark and plot the areas.

  1. Rotate the image to Landscape. Skip count again using the four times tables. You should have 10 squares going down and 8 going across.
  2. Rule the paper vertically all the way down.

  1. Rule the paper horizontally all the way down. Remember to repeat what you did.

  1. Now begin to draw Cat Woman. (Bottom from Top)

  1. Begin on her foot. The coordinates are 2,10

  1. Slowly begin to move upwards. Draw her thigh to her waist, 5,5.
  2.  Her other leg should be around 7,6.

  1. Her foot is 7,7 and then it should go onto 6,6.

  1. When you move a little bit up you should be closer to the waist at 5,5 or 6,6

  1. When you move up to the breast’s they should be at 5.4 but lower or 6,4 for the other breast

  1. Now begin to draw the arms, for the upper arm the coordinates should be 6,3, 7,3 or 7,2 Catwoman is holding a whip in the upper arm so the coordinates for the whip are 7,1 slightly going into two, or it would be 6,1 slightly going onto two.

  1. Now begin to draw the other arm the coordinates for it are 5,4, 4.4 going into 4.5. When you get into the part when drawing the claws the coordinates for the claws are 3,4 or in the middle in the of 3 and 4.

  1. Now you draw the face. The one part of the face is on 5,3 and these fade into the other part s 6,3 or 6,2.

  1. Now you begin to draw the rest of the whip.
the coordinates, the first part is 2,6 then it goes onto 5,4. The end of the whip is 4,3.

Once you’ve finished your drawing it should look like this.
